And the greatest honour is having the most influential creative forces on fashion’s front line as friends.

Which explains how – in desperate need of a super-sexy hot date hair cut - I found myself sitting in a hairdresser’s chair in front of Adam Reed, Creative Director and one half of Percy & Reed, who I know coifs the likes of Madonna, Anna Friel and Sophie Dahl.

What I didn’t know was that Sophie Dahl had the same idea and had booked in for a blow-dry before a night out with Jamie Cullum at posh sushi restaurant Sake No Hana, and had to form an orderly queue for Adam behind me!

One word. WOW!
