Lets get behind Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Wednesday, 8 October 2008
Burlesque Against Breast Cancer is the brainchild of Emily Dubberley, creator of cliterati.co.uk, founding editor of Scarlet Magazine, and sex agony aunt for Look Magazine – and friends – after her mum was diagnosed earlier this year.
Sexy Cinderellas should but 6 November in their diaries. Not only is it my birthday but more importantly, it’s the Burlesque Against Breast Cancer Ball in association with Onjoy.com.
Expect a sumptuous affair featuring performances by Ministry of Burlesque founder Kittie Klaw, cabaret siren Dolores Delight, swellegant, and vintage bombshell Lili La Scala. And as fully certified tassel twirler myself, maybe they’ll even ask me to peform?
Tickets are £50, available here, with proceeds going to Macmillan Cancer Support, who do amazing work with those living with cancer not just during Breast Cancer Awareness Month but every single day.
So all you femme fatales should get your fishnets out for a naughty night at the Burlesque Against Breast Cancer Ball, and I want to wish Emily’s mum the very best with her healing from all of us here at Now.
