10 reasons why this year’s Strictly Come Dancing is better than The X Factor!
Kimberely Walsh is wowing the Strictly judges
Strictly bromance! Sid Owen and Richard Arnold with Now's Caroline
1. Lisa Riley really can dance
Admit it. You thought plus size Lisa Riley would struggle with the cha cha cha and be given a tongue lashing by the judges? Me too. Yes, she's bigger than the other female celebs but just as Russell Grant showed us last year, you don't have to be skinny to have skills on the dancefloor!
2. Craig Revel Horwood is evil personified
Judge Doom is back and is seems there's only one side of the bed Craig Revel Horwood gets out of on a Saturday morning - the wrong one. I wouldn't be surprised if he did a Blue Peter sticky back plastic job and brings in a home made paddle with a big fat ZERO on it this weekend.
3. Sexy Colin Salmon
With a license to thrill, James Bond movie actor Colin Salmon impressed me with his snake hips. And I was told a little secret in the BBC bar after too. That's not a mobile phone on Colin's trouser pocket. And all the male celebs and pro dancers are VERY jealous! Saucy.
4. The dance off is back
After ‘resting' the dreaded dance off for the past two years it's returning. Which means more drama, more stress, more tears and more dancing. Excellent.
5. Bad boy Brendan Cole
Victoria Pendleton was a bag of nerves on the first night. No surprise when perfectionist Brendan Cole is expecting gold medal standards. They escaped Craig Revel Horwood's comment but I'm hoping for fireworks as the weeks go on.
6. Girls Aloud are performing
Not only am I slightly obsessed with Kimberley Walsh's amazing bum, now she's reuniting with Girls Aloud to perform on the show! Nothing's been confirmed but my BBC sources have told me it WILL happen. Soon. Scream!
7. It Takes Two
For serious Strictly addicts like myself, It Takes Two keeps us ticking over until the big show at the weekend. Every night, there's a little taster to feed the craving and Zoe Ball is the perfect host.
8. Louis Smith's splits
Showing off his sizzling dance moves and cheeky splits in week one, what else has Louis Smith got up his sequined sleeve? A few kehrswing and wendeswings (yes, they are genuine pommel horse moves!) on the judges' desk?
9. Sid Owen and Richard Arnold's bromance
A hate it when all the celebs are getting on backstage. But from what I saw in the BBC bar, that's the case. Dammit. After buying Sid Owen and Richard Arnold a pint, they told me how well everyone's getting on. Cute.
