Dan Wootton: Will Kate Middleton ever sunbathe topless again? Probably not
Kate Middleton will emerge from this with her dignity entact
Chris Brown's 'sick' tattoo has shocked everyone
Even before the surprise publication today of topless photos in the French edition of Closer magazine, I planned to make the Duchess of Cambridge my hero for her perfect performance at the start of her South East Asia tour.
Kate's natural glamour, grace and accessibility has truly placed the Royal Family at the international centre of attention in a way we haven't seen since the death of Princess Diana.
Now, as she deals with the very personal horror of thousands of people around the world looking at intimate pictures of her on a private holiday, I just know she will keep her poise and continue with her duties.
Will she ever sunbathe topless, again? Probably not. Even when she is on private property.
But, just like Prince Harry before her, I have no doubt she will emerge from the next difficult few days with her reputation intact.
VILLAIN: CHRIS BROWN
Could this scumbag really stoop any lower? Sadly, after this week it appears he most certainly can.
Desperate spin from Chris Brown's PR team (insisting his new tattoo is of a ‘sugar skull') did nothing to hide the very obvious fact that it looks like the face of a battered woman, possibly even his ex-girlfriend Rihanna.
It would be bad enough for anyone in the public eye to promote such a seemingly sickeningly violent message, but when that man has been convicted for beating up Ri-Ri it just makes it so much worse.
The music industry shunned Brown for all of five-minutes, even though he hardly showed any genuine remorse for the attack in 2009.
Believe me, I'm not one of these people that believe all pop stars need to be perfect role models. It's often their flaws and previous troubles that help them produce great music.
But the casual acceptance of what Brown stands for is, in my opinion, completely unacceptable.
