Harry Styles is happy to talk about his 4 nipples and has been showing them off to the world.

The One Direction singer, 18, reckons he knows why he has them, explaining:

'I've got 4 nipples. I think I must have been a twin, but then the other one went away and left its nipples behind.'

But it that so?

Of course, there is such a thing as a 'vanishing twin', when one dies
during development and is then partially or completely reabsorbed by the
surviving foetus. 

But although most of us are born with 2 nipples, apparently all babies in the womb have 'supernumerary nipples' along the 'milk lines' down the chest during development - just like cats and dogs.

They usually disapper before birth, but some do remain - in an estimated 1 in 18 boys - and are often mistaken for moles. 

Seems Harry just held onto a couple of his extra nips.
