Rachel Quinney and Emily Evans from the West Midlands met 1D at the Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball

Rachel Quinney won the chance to be our blogger at the 95-106 Capital FM Jingle Bell Ball with Windows 7 - read what she and pal Emily Evans got up to at The O2 Arena on Sunday December 4 - day two of the event...

When I heard that I had won this competition I couldn't believe it! Not only had I won tickets to the Jingle Bell Ball but I'd also won a laptop loaded with Windows 7.

After travelling down from the West Midlands, we were whisked to The O2 arena in London, and it looked so big.

When we arrived at the Jingle Bell Ball we were taken straight to the press room to meet the Now team and it was all go.

Professor Green walked in first which was a bit of a shock because we didn't know he was appearing - he was there to perform with Emeli Sande as a surprise for the audience.

We love his music so we were really happy to see him, he seemed really nice.

Now magazine had arranged for us to meet One Direction, which we were really excited about because we are huge fans.

When One Direction walked into the room it was brilliant - we watched them have their photos taken for the magazine and then we got a bit of a shock when we were told we were having our photo taken with them.

They all said hello and were genuinely nice lads, all asking how we were and if we were going to be watching the show - as if we would miss that :D

The show was incredible and really entertaining but my favourite three acts of the day were One Direction, Ed Sheeran and Jessie J, who even dressed up as a Christmas cracker to get in everyone in the Christmas spirit.

We had an amazing day at the Jingle Bell Ball - thank you Now magazine.
