Okay, I've got a confession to make.
I'm not really the sort of girl who dreams of going to Glastonbury and hanging out with the hippies.
In fact, you're more likely to find me in heels with a champagne glass in hand, rather than in wellies supping cider from a paper cup.
So how on earth I found myself in the middle of 170,000 people watching the sun go down during Coldplay's set still amazes me.
Yes, my wellies looked like I'd been caught in a mudslide. Yes, I was sipping tepid rum and coke from a paper cup.
But bizarrely enough, I actually had fun. I'd been told ‘magic happens at Glastonbury' and at the risk of sounding like a new age hippie, who am I to argue?
Spotting Bono (super tiny in the flesh!) within minutes of stepping into the VIP area surely meant all celeb sightings would go down hill from there.
But as hardcore Glasto fans Kate Moss - scrubs up surprisingly well - and Stella McCartney waded through the mud trying to escape the paps, it was pretty much a hat trick.
Who knew I'd leave Worthy Farm an Elbow fan? It takes real talent to connect with the audience and a lot of acts should take note of Elbow's amiable frontman Guy Garvey who did so with ease and genuine affection.
Like a woman possessed Beyonce entertained the audience within an inch of her life and surely any woman who rocks Bridget Jones' big pants on stage deserves an award?
No, she's not your typical rockstar, Bey's a SUPERSTAR!
Back at home with calves to die for (who knew dragging my wellies through mud would be such a workout?) I'm glad I've ticked Glastonbury off my very long to-do list.
Oh and I forgot to mention. I cheated. I didn't camp. I stayed at the amazing Windlinglake Farm close by in a caravan which is pretty much a 5-star haven in festival land.
And check this, alongside a helipad there was even a Wellie Wash where we could hose down our Hunters.
Funnily enough even the sight of a sunburnt Wayne Rooney over breakfast didn't ruin my first Glasto experience!
