What better time to start my very first Party Animal Blog than in a week with three of the biggest bashes of the year - the BAFTAs, the Elle Style Awards and the Brits? I'm here to let you know all the gossip we couldn't print and a bit more besides *cue rapturous Now reader applause!*.
First up, Sunday night - the Orange British Academy Of Film And Television Awards - aka the BAFTAs. The lovely folks at Orange put us up at the Grosvenor House Hotel and whisked us off for a drinks reception.
After walking up the red carpet and getting a cheeky grin off Andrew Garfield, the awards themselves were a little on the long side!
I bumped into lovely Jameela Jamil in the foyer of the Covent Garden Opera House (where the awards took place) looking a little bemused 'I've lost my mates!' she cried.
We caught up with her upstairs with pal Sarah Harding who looked a little shaky on her heels coming down the stairs to her seat and flashing her black smalls as she went! Oops!
We ate at the official Orange BAFTAs dinner back at the Grosvenor House Hotel at a Black Swan themed table (all the tables were decorated with one of the five Best Film nominations) including customized place mats that everyone seemed to be putting in their bags after dessert!
I spied gorgeous Thandie Newton in and enormous dress and stole a quick chat 'I love this massive dress,' she said 'It means people can't invade my personal space!'.
Moments later I see another British sensation Tilda Swinton with her husband. She was very pleasant and so unusual looking in the flesh telling me 'I really do hope they do another Narnia, it should be The Magician's Nephew as that's my favourite'.
I eschewed the official Orange BAFTAs party to jump in a cab and attend uber-producer Harvey Weinstein's shin dig at new hotel W. The place was stunning and the guest list even better. Emma Watson, Lily Cole, David Gandy and Sarah Harding to name but a few.
I got into an in depth conversation with Colin Firth who told me I had to see his film A Single Man. I told him that it was a bit depressing for a singleton like myself (it's a stunning flick directed by fashionista Tom Ford about losing love) and after a while he had to a agree! Party Animal 1, Colin Firth 0!
One party down, two to go!
