How to create funky nails in a flash

Why not try your hand at some nail art?

My nail art creation!

So, I'm mad about all things fake, nails and hair being at the top of my list. So when I rocked up to the office after having a play with the new Kiss Nail Artist Paint & Stencil Kit, £8.16, the night before, the girls (and guys) in the office were blown away.

I get a lot of comments about my nails and 99% of the time I will be wearing a random set of stick on nails to match my ever changing mood!

Here's how I did it:

After choosing the Broadway Fashion Diva Go Glam Nails in Shimmer (BGGD05), £7.49, I cut a filed down the edges to make them look natural and 'not too fake'.

I decided to give the new Kiss Nail Artist Paint & Stencil Kit (available in 3 different colour sets, £8.16 each), but didn't fancy any of the stencils in the pack so opted to try my hand at doing my own design.

I thought a zebra-print design would be the easiest for a nail design virgin so I carefully (and very randomly) painted various sized lines on my nails until I was satisfied like looked zebra-enough.

All in all, it took me a total of five minutes to paint the lines with the additional five minutes it took me to stick the nails on with the glue provided (I am a pro at this - it might take you a bit longer until you're used to it).

Volia! Funky, minx-style nails at a quarter of the cost!

An after thought to all the nail-newbie's out there: why don't you try buying a set of false nails, attaching Blu-Tack to the end of a pencil or manicure stick and then painted your chosen nail design on first. Once dry, stick them on your nails. It might be easier if you find it hard to draw on your nails while you have them on!
