Katy launched her new fragrance today and it’s just purrfect…

I love a celebrity fragrance launch when the actual celebrity is there and I wasn't disappointed this morning at Katy Perry's perfume party.

Packed full of beauty gals Katy took to the stage, showed off her new scent and actually answered questions from the floor.

And here is what she said...

Tell us about your new fragrance?
Purr is a purrfect perfume made by me, Katy Perry. It shows a little of my personality and I'm obsessed with cats but I'm trying to make my cat lady personality look cool because I want to be chic so I'm trying to turn that image around. I'm very independent like cats and they have a very feminine sexy way about them so I wanted that reflected in my fragrance.

Would you do a Posh and Becks with a his and her fragrance with Russell?
Um I don't think so! I personally want to keep posing in my underwear to the bedroom, we'll do that on our own time!

How involved in making the fragrance have you been?
I've been involved in everything to an annoying point. I sketched this bottle design on some hotel paper in New York and I've been overly, compulsively and obsessively in charge of it since.

Any tips on how to wear it?
I step into it instead of spraying it on me. I think it's nice when a woman walks into a room and leaves a mystery around her!

As you love cats is it true that someone bought you a tiger for a wedding present?
No that's ridiculous, so that should give you a good idea of what's not true...
