Beauty crime: My lashes are far too clumpy!

This morning I had a mascara meltdown!

I happily applied my eye shadow and then pulled out my mascara (which I am very attached to) starting sweeping it on and instead of getting long-lush-lashes I got clumpy-stumpy-ones.

My mascara had literally clogged up over night and the more I tried to unclog my lashes the heavier and clumpier they got.

Usually I am happy to have over the top lashes but Cher Lloyd from X Factor has put me right off the look as her lashes look a bit drag queen and this morning all I could see in the mirror was, well Cher with wrinkles. Not a great look!

Now, I know I'm late to the party for the less is more lash look as it was all over the AW/10 catwalk shows but trust me I'm now immediately reducing the amount of mascara I pile on.

I decided having a brand new mascara that wouldn't clog as I applied it was a good place to start and after a plead for help on Twitter these two landed on my desk...I just need to decide which one to use first, Estee Lauder's TurboLash All Effects Motion Mascara, £28.50 or their Sumptuous Bold Volume Lifting Mascara, 18.50.
