Wow: The Shockwaves NME Awards

Last night, along with Sarah Harding, Grace Jones and Damon Albarn, I was at the awesome Shockwaves NME Awards at the 02 Academy Brixton.

I don’t know where to begin because last night was just packed with exciting celeb spots, amazing performances and burgers for tea at The Shockwaves NME Awards!

Personal highlights for me were getting a cuddle from Shockwaves Style Director Michael Douglas (pic on the left), sitting on the table next to Blur and watching The Cure.

I didn’t get much celeb gossip, but I was in the ladies with Girls Aloud’s Nicola Roberts, (if anyone has been to the ladies at the 02 Academy Brixton you’ll know that there’s only cold water and the hand dryers don’t work) and bless her, she couldn’t work out how to dry her hands.

I just shook mine and wiped them on my jeans (bad beauty editor) but Nicola got her assistant to rush and get her some toilet paper, because obviously she couldn’t go and get her own toilet paper to dry her hands with!

Other than that it looked like everyone had a great night, I mean even the celebrities stood up in awe when The Cure played.
