This might not sound like a big deal to anyone who dyes their hair all the time, but I haven’t touched a bottle of hair colour for ten years.
So, as Garnier have just brought out a new at home hair colour, Garnier HerbaShine, £5.49, which only takes 10 minutes I thought I’d give it a go.
I decided to go for a dark red shade and opted for ‘Plum’. I followed the instructions, which were really easy to understand, left it on for 10 minutes, washed it off and had a shiny new hair colour virtually instantly which you can see in the picture.
But, there were some downsides!
I got it all over my tiled bathroom floor, which was fine because I could mop it off but if I had a carpet in my bathroom I would definitely cover it completely with old towels.
And something that I never considered happening before, but since colouring my hair my fingers have looked dirty and I’ve worked out it’s from touching my newly colourd hair. But I’ve asked around and it seems this happens for the first few days with any dark hair dye.
All in all my at home hair colouring experience has gone well, if there is anything else you want me to try let me know and I’ll see what I can do!
