Gwen Stefani has her finger on the fragrance pulse
Wednesday, 22 October 2008
Sssh, can you keep a secret? Good because I’m not supposed to talk about these new fragrances till next February, but they are so cool I can’t wait till then!
Last night I went to the launch party for the Harajuku Lovers Fragrances, £20 for 30ml. You, don’t know what I’m talking about? Well, basically Gwen Stefani visited Harajuku in Tokyo and was so inspired by the electric street style of the girls who live there; she came up with the idea of creating five unique and adorable doll fragrances.
Snapped here on my phone camera (I couldn’t get my hands on an official pic) is “G” who is the leader of the pack. All the other girls have their own name and unique fragrance, there’s even a Harajuku Lovers virtual world at HLfragrance.com.
These cute doll fragrances only launched in the USA in September and are already a massive hit, they come here in February 2009. I’m already totally in love and want them all!

I spotted these in barcelona a couple of days ago, initially i was drawn in by the cutesy bottles, so naturally i went ahead and gave them all a good sniff. The most striking fragrance by far is "G" (the fragrance pictured) the doll based on gwen herself, it smells really coconutty- this will definately be a hit for the summer.
"harajuku isn't a place! Its the a style" Erm, it is a place. I've been there twice.
