Last night I went to the Africa Rising Festival at the Royal Albert Hall with the lovely PR lady in charge of Christina Aguilera’s fragrances. Her latest one, Inspire, £19 for 30ml has only just come out and is already selling like hot cakes.
Now, I’d like to say the night was as good as it looked in the papers, but truth be known it went on a tad too long and I didn’t get to bed till 1am on a school night!
I’m glad I stayed in my seat though, because the star of the show was worth waiting for. Yes, Christina Aguilera was amazing and her voice sounded beautiful in the Royal Albert Hall and she looked fantastic for being a new mum.
But, for me the best performance of the night was from the gorgeous Seal who filled every inch of the Royal Albert Hall with a few of his tunes from back in the day (anyone who remembers ‘rave’ will know what I mean) and got everyone out of their seat with ‘Crazy’.
